Complete anonymity will be provided for those of you are willing to spare sometime for this research (meaning ur identity(name, face, video, picture, voice) will not be disclosed for public use or commercial use etc.)its sole propose it for education and research.

anyhow here is her message/ request...

Dear students,
I am currently conducting an international research on Arabic sociolinguistics with the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Universidad Autónoma and Universidad Complutense, Madrid, Spain.
For my research I will need 200 Arab female students with English and French as foreign languages.
I started the data collection last academic year. However, I do not have participants from the following nationalities (with Arabic as mother tongue): Somalia, Libia, Yemen, Saudi, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia and Jordan.
I am really interested in finding female participants from Malta and Uzbekistan ( only those who speak the Arabic dialect from Uzbekistan). We currently do not have students from these nationalities at PSUAD so I will need to find participants from outside the University.
The means of data collection are muted videos. The student will create the dialogue between the characters that appear in the video. The dialogue will be in Colloquial Arabic. The data collection procedure will take one hour. I will assure the participants' anonymity in future publications. Results of the research will be presented in international symposiums on Arabic linguistics and published in journals.
This study will be followed by a second research on sociolinguistics that will be conducted with the Department of Applied Linguistics at Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, Madrid. The data collection for the second research will take place in September 2013.
I will really appreciate your participation. The data collection will take place on Tuesday 26 March in classroom 4.113 4.115 from 15:00 to 17:00. For those who have classes at this time, I will be teaching from 17.00 to 19.00 in classroom 4.137. Please feel free to contact me by e mail or to pass by my class in order to arrange other dates for the data collection.
Thank you very much
Regards,
Dr. Ana Ramajo Cuesta
