Video: stunt men changes his car tyres while driving


Have you seen car tyres being changed while the vehicle is moving? If not, then watch this video reported to have been shot in Saudi Arabia.
A Saudi driver and his friend appeared to have been influenced by stunt performances seen in movies when cars are tilted and driven on two tyres.

But these two Saudis went further as the driver kept the vehicle running on two tyres while the other opened the door and changed the two tyres on the lifted side in one of the riskiest stunt show in the Gulf kingdom.

Sharq Arabic language daily, which published the 400-second YouTube film, did not say where exactly in Saudi Arabia the show took place.

GUNS N’ ROSES LIVE IN ABU DHABI

Their first sell-out performance in Abu Dhabi drew rock fans from across the Middle East and now eighties rock legends Guns N’ Roses are making their long-awaited return to the Capital.
FLASH is bringing back front man Axl Rose, DJ Ashba, Dizzy Reed, Tommy Stinson, Richard Fortus, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Chris Pitman and Frank Ferrer to the du Arena, Yas Island, on Thursday 28 March.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April last year, Guns N’ Roses remain as one of the world’s most popular bands continuing to sell out concerts worldwide.
Fans in the capital can look forward to Eighties rock legends belt classics such as Sweet Child O’Mine, Paradise City, November Rain and Welcome to the Jungle.

-         Danse représentant votre région (debkeh, salsa, andalouse etc…) : une salle serait disponible pour les répétitions
-         Cérémonie caractéristique de la vie sociale de votre région (mariage,   récolte …)
-         Photos de votre région sur clé USB pour les projeter.
-         Plat de cuisine de votre région (salé ou sucré)

Chers étudiants,

La date de la journée Internationale est prévue pour le jeudi 21 mars 2013

Nous avons besoin de connaître les étudiants qui souhaitent participer, leur pays, leur région afin d’organiser la journée :

-         Défilé de costumes traditionnels
-         Danse représentant votre région (debkeh, salsa, andalouse etc…) : une salle serait disponible pour les répétitions
-         Cérémonie caractéristique de la vie sociale de votre région (mariage,   récolte …)
-         Photos de votre région sur clé USB pour les projeter.
-         Plat de cuisine de votre région (salé ou sucré)

Merci de soumettre vos idées et confirmer votre participation très vite. Une première réunion d’organisation  est prévue en février  2013.

Sport during the Second Semester


 Dear Students,

The second semester has re-started last week. The champion league from 6 university of Abu Dhabi also.
·         If you want to join the team ( basketball, Football ladies and men’s, the table tennis team)…It’s the moment.
·         If you are not register in sport: The doctor will be here ,  every Mondays between 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and every Wednesdays between 12 to 3:00 pm.
·         When your registration will be finish, you will receive a towel for practices in the gym hall.
·         If you want to practices in Option you can organize your registration before the 21-02-2013…..Stevan is at the cafeteria every days between 12:00 to 1:30 pm for any information

DISCOVER ANKABUT



Dear Students,
Paris Sorbonne University is pleased to announce that it will be hosting Ankabut, the UAE Advanced Network for Research and Education, Users' Meeting on February 20-21.  The event is under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and His Highness will give the opening address. We have heard from many of our friends and colleagues how much they are looking forward to attending the conference and visiting the campus.
It is expected over 400 educators and technology professionals.  You are invited to attend this very exciting conference. "Discover Ankabut" includes on Wednesday morning Patrick Donath the General Manager of RENATER (The National Research and Education Network for France) and our Vice Chancellor Dr. Eric Fouache will be addressing the audience. There will be a number of presentations discussing research, and new advancements in science and technology.  Also Dr. Rachid Ragala of the University of Paris Sorbonne will be making a presentation on the Contribution of the Remote detection and GIS in the research and in the operational applications in human and environmental geosciences on the afternoon of the 20th.
Free Registration is now open and you may go to our Users' Meeting site  to register. Please make sure to fill out the entire form.

Nouveau Système Intégré de Gestion de bibliothèque / New Library Management System


 Chers  utilisateurs

La bibliothèque est actuellement en cours de changement de Système Intégré de Gestion. C’est pourquoi, le fournisseur, Sirsi-Dynix, a remplacé l’ancien système (Horizon) par un nouveau, plus élaboré,  appelé Symphony  et a de ce fait, interrompu le fonctionnement de l’ancien système.
Le nouveau logiciel possède les derniers développements relatifs aux technologies de l’information et permettra au personnel  de la  bibliothèque d’utiliser certaines fonctionnalités dont il  ne disposait pas auparavant. Nous pensons que ceci améliorera notre service auprès de vous, chers utilisateurs.
La migration des données d’un système à un autre reste cependant une procédure complexe, et dans les premiers temps, il se pourrait que certaines informations ne soient pas disponibles, ou ne s’affichent pas correctement sur certains écrans.
Nous vous prions à cet égard d’être patients, et vous assurons que le suivi de tout problème, en collaboration avec le représentant local de Sirsi-Dynix, revêt un caractère d’urgence.
Notre but est d’accomplir cette procédure de migration avec le moins de désagréments  possible pour nos utilisateurs. Si vous deviez rencontrer un quelconque problème, n’hésitez pas je vous prie, à contacter le personnel de la bibliothèque.

Dear Library User

The Library is currently in the process of upgrading its Automated Library System. The reason for this is that the provider of the system, Sirsi-Dynix, has replaced the old system (Horizon) with a newly developed system, called Symphony, and will therefore stop to support and maintain the old system. The new system incorporates the latest developments in information technology and will enable the Library to use the system for functions and tasks which were not available in the previous system. We believe this will also improve our service to you, our users.

The migration of all the information from one system to another is however a complex process, and in the initial phases it may happen that certain information will not be available, or will not display correctly on certain screens. We ask you to please be patient in this regard, because we will follow up all issues as a matter of urgency with the local representatives of Sirsi-Dynix. Our aim is to complete this migration process with as little disruption as possible for our users.  Should you experience any problems, please do not hesitate to contact any Library staff member.
