Parking Procedure - IMPORTANT

Please read carefully the following notification from our General Services Department regarding car passes and parking access:

1.       Until November 08,  2012 the existing access procedure will be followed for students without passes. Students with passes will have free entry.

2.       From November 11, 2012 , if a student drives up to the car park entrance and does not have a car park pass:

a.       Security takes the ID card of the driver and records the details, time and date of collection and also the car details if it is not a busy hour.

b.       If it is busy hour ,security will inform the student to go to the PSUAD reception in B1 to fill in their car details

c.       Security to collect the car details from the reception and prepare the car passes.

d.       Security to Pass the collected ID cards and new car passes to JBI admin team to prepare transmittal.

3.    New Car Passes along with the ID card taken will be formally transmitted to PSUAD General Services who will issue them to concerned Department  and return their ID cards

4.    If a student has already had their ID card taken by security, they may access the  car park for 48 hours signing in as visitors by which time they should receive their new car pass. Once the 48 hour grace period has passed they should be denied access to the campus and referred to PSUAD Reception.

5     Should security face any major problems with students, i.e. any form of verbal abuse or aggressive behavior, it will be notified straight away so that a disciplinary procedure can be taken.

6.    All car passes from last year must be returned to Admissions department at the time of collecting the new pass.

7.   Car passes can be collected from the Admissions office from 10 am to 2pm, Sunday to Thursday.
