Database administrator – Part Time student

Job Offer

Under the supervision of the Communication Department, Academic Events specialist, the scope of work for a part time database administrator will comprise the non-exhaustive tasks:

-       Update critical data elements and valuable business information on a weekly basis

-       Ensure the data is correct, ensuring old and new entries are always updated

-       Merge all PSUAD data bases to ensure all our audiences will received the information we send – full contact details, names, positions and organizations on a weekly bases

-       Design, write and take care of computer database so that the right person can get the right information at the right time

-       Maintain an envelope label document reflecting the full data base

-       Liaise with IT department to store, organize and manage the data i.e. facilitate massive mailings both e-mail and by courier with General Services

-       Be responsible for data integrity, backup and security, keeping always the correct version with its correspondent envelop label document

-       Ensure that database meets user requirements

-       Liaise with other departments to collect and update new information for database

-       Liaise with other stakeholders to confirm data information

-       Collect from every event business cards or log in book guests information


Key skills for database administrators
Candidates must be patient, meticulous bilingual and familiar with computer operating systems and database technology. Administrative, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are also important.


Provisional Schedule

-     Requested Period                       : as soon as possible to January 2013 (2 months)
-     Working hours                            : 3 hours per day (from 9 to 12am)
-     Remuneration                             : 25 AED / Hour
